The Chicago Style Hot Dog isn’t a Chicago Dog until it has yellow mustard, white onions, sweet relish, tomato wedges, a pickle spear, picked peppers, a dash of celery salt all and is on a poppy seed bun. What makes your jewelry known as your jewelry? What materials, colors, textures and forms are consistent or repeat in your work? What must your work have in order for it to identify as your work?
We are seeking applications from jewelry artists who create cohesive bodies of limited production jewelry. This exhibition will feature 5 – 8 pieces of jewelry by each artist in order to present mini collections of functional art that will be for sale. Artists who submit innovative and well-designed jewelry items are preferred.
This exhibition will be presented in a pop-up gallery in West Town, Chicago, to run in conjunction with the 2019 Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) Conference in Chicago, IL.
